Oppo has officially opened its first offline retail store right in Shanghai China, for the purpose of interacting with both existing and potential customers. The store will also have the Oppo R11s New Year Edition for sale.
The first store can be founded on Huaihai Road in Shanghai and it occupies a space of about 500 square meters or 5381.96 square feet. There are two different sections of the store first the obvious sales floor and then the “experience” zone which allows you to interact with their collection of smartphones, speakers, headphones, and other products to get a feel for them.
Alen Wu, the Vice President of Oppo commented on the flagship store: “Retail stores, especially the flagship stores, are the main channel for us to communicate with customers. This flagship store expresses our latest ideas on upgrading our retail store experience and elevating our brand. We have chosen our Shanghai Flagship Store as a breakthrough for a better customer experience.”
This shows that Oppo is focusing on expanding its retail section starting right in its own backyard. More stores in other cities are expected to come up very soon. Additionally, Oppo was given the approval to open stores in the country of India as well which will be interesting as other players including Google are looking to expand in the emerging market.
