Kong’s Skull Island Spotted on Google Maps

The legendary King Kong franchise has its next sequel coming out Kong: Skull Island and its expected to land next week in a theater near you. Google, has taken upon its self to release a fun little Easter Egg by plotting the movies island on Google Maps.

You can find the island on Google Maps south of the equator and in the Pacific Ocean, however, the Island is not actually displayed on the map rather it’s just a point located in the middle of the ocean. You are able to leave a review, though, which has sparked some interesting comments.

While this isn’t the first time Google has pulled off gags like this in the past it has added the Batcave, Doctor Who’s TARDIS, and even Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley. However, this is the latest Easter egg added by the tech giant, and it even points people to the official website where users can go explore the island and its inhabitants.
