Huawei, one of the largest tech giants you likely have not heard of has also announced their plans to enter the Indian market. The company has announced that its Honor View 10 device will launch in India on January 8th for Rs. 29,900 ($473 USD). This phone will be exclusive through Amazon India. Registration though has already opened and has been live for about a week.
The phone comes in two color variants Navy Blue and Midnight Black. The phones come with a 5.9-inch display Full HD + IPS LCD FullView display. The screen resolution is 1080×2160 pixels with a 403ppi pixel density. Additionally, the Honor View 10 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with up to 256GB for a microSD card slot.
This phone comes with the companies own HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, and is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo. It also comes with an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) which allows the phone to perform AI-based tasks which is the companies major selling point. Furthermore, the Huawei Honor View 10 features a dual camera setup on the rear side with the 16-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. It has a f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocuses (PDAF) and Dual-LED flash. The front camera of this device features a 13-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
Huawei’s phone also supports facial unlocking technology and it supports payment level authentication. This device offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C (2.0), and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is powered by 3,750mAh battery. The company claims that the battery can provide up to 23 hours talk-time on 3G, and 22 days of standby time.
