There have been rumors swirling around the internet that Google will be revealing its new Nexus device in San Francisco on September 29th, and now the tech giant has officially announced it. Members of the press have received invitations to “a morning conversation about some new treats from Google.”
Some of the expected announcements include an LG-made Nexus 5, a Nexus 6 from Huawei and maybe the next iteration of Chromecast.
If you don’t have an invitation or simply can’t make it, you will be able to watch the entire event on Google’s YouTube page.
Some of the more interesting theories is that we will be introduced to version 6.0 of Android which has been dubbed as Android 6.0 Marshmallow. However, it is not yet known when it will be released for devices and what devices will manage to support it.
Some of these rumors are rather interesting but its a little early to be releasing an entirely new version of Android as the adoption rate of lollipop has been rather slow and there were quite a few bugs on many Samsung devices until the past 2 months when they were patched. However, if Google is planning on releasing a brand new flavor of Android than we can be sure that it will be feature packed and it should have more attention than that of lollipop.
Are you looking forward to the event and if so what do you think will be announced? Do you think that Google is really ready to announce another version of the Android operating system?
