Google Launches New Website To Showcase Open Source Projects

Google has been a major supporter of both open source projects, and developers. The company has released many of its own open source projects from Closure Compiler to its WebFont Loader. Google has even contributed to many open source projects such as Let’s Encrypt and has been instrumental in its implementation.

Google has released products such as it’s new JPEG Encoder, to fonts such as Roboto and NOTO, and Bazel which is used for testing software builds.

The new website that the company has created showcases all of these efforts. Google Open Source is a large directory of open source projects that has been made available to the community. In addition, this list is meant to be an opportunity for both programmers, and regular users to contribute too and aid these projects in order to improve them and make the web a better place.
